I'm Megan Holstein, an agentic engineer and software consultant. I build custom software, automate operations with AI, and help businesses figure out what to build and how to ship it. 15 years across software, entrepreneurship, and marketing.
For clients, I've increased leads 136% through AI-driven advertising and automated funnel analytics, saved 100+ hours per month by replacing manual operations with custom workflows, and cut six figures in vendor spend by building purpose-built tools to replace expensive SaaS subscriptions. I've also built my own products, including BestPromptIdeas.com, a cross-platform AI prompt library with a web app and companion iOS app, and ReaderPulse.io, a multi-user SaaS platform for fiction writers to collect structured manuscript feedback.
Before the current AI era, I founded Pufferfish Software, an award-winning startup building iOS apps that help children with special needs build independence. I published iPhone App Design for Entrepreneurs with Apress, followed by two more books: Work Less, Finish More and Mastering Minimalism. I also built a blog on Medium with hundreds of thousands of readers.
